
When a poorly handled acquisition left me unsure how I’d provide for my kids, I realized something had to change. That moment shaped my mission: to help others avoid the chaos and confusion that comes when people are an afterthought in M&A.
For more than 20 years, I’ve worked at the intersection of HR, leadership, and corporate strategy. I’ve supported over 150 deals in industries ranging from aerospace to software, helping leaders navigate culture clashes, retain key talent, and align their teams before Day One. I help teams avoid integration debt, which is the compounding cost of misaligned people decisions that quietly derail deals.
I believe that when people thrive, deals deliver. That’s what drives everything I do.
Klint C. Kendrick, PhD, SPHR is a globally recognized expert on the human side of mergers and acquisitions. He has supported more than 150 deals across Fortune 500 companies, private equity-backed firms, and international organizations. His work focuses on closing the value gap—the difference between what a deal promises and what it actually delivers—by addressing people, leadership, and culture issues from the start.
Klint is the founder of Master Your Merger, a platform providing practical resources for HR and deal professionals. He also created the HR M&A Roundtable and chairs the People Synergy Summit, bringing together leaders from across industries to learn, share, and collaborate.
His books, The HR Practitioner’s Guide to M&A Due Diligence and The HR Practitioner’s Guide to Cultural Integration in M&A, are used by HR and corp dev teams worldwide. He hosts the Master Your Merger podcast and serves as adjunct faculty at New York University, where he teaches HR M&A.
